Although Dexter hasn't been with Code Ninjas West Katy long, having transferred from another center, he has brought much to our community. He always goes the extra mile to customize his projects and learn even the most obscure features of Unity. His Black Belt project, To Kill Unitychan, demonstrates his passion for roguelikes, dungeon crawlers, and shooters by combining aspects from all three genres into one super-tough challenge.

Neil Malpani
Neil has always loved playing and coding video games, which brought him to Code Ninjas Long Grove in 2021. Three years in, he made his Black Belt game, Penalty! He wanted something that would keep the player playing for a while like his favorite games did for him. Penalty! is a game where the player has to drag the ball backwards and release it and try scoring it past the goalie for points, which can be used in the shop to purchase skins and extra lives. He really hopes you enjoy this game! Have fun!

Yuya has been a part of the Code Ninjas Northern Valley family since December 2019 where he started his journey on codeSpark. He has developed his coding and game development skills throughout the years, all while contributing to the fun atmosphere of our dojo. His dedication ultimately resulted in the creation of his Black Belt game, Flappy Ninja. In his game, you fly through space, shooting enemies while collecting power-ups as you aim to get the highest score possible. It features a one-player game and a two-player game mode.

His favorite game is Flappy Bird, which led him to try making his own version as his Black Belt project. Alejandro decided to make Flappy Ninja very difficult, with the unusual mechanic of allowing the player to move backwards as well as forwards.

Luc joined Code Ninjas in February 2022 after being inspired by his dad who is a programmer. Luc was the first Ninja to complete his Black Belt project at Code Ninjas Arundel Mills. His game, Pause Power, is a simple yet challenging puzzle game that takes place in space. Pausing is a key game mechanic that reveals other objects. Through the creation of the game, Luc learned new ways to utilize Unity to develop his own game from scratch.

Zidan began his coding journey over 3 years ago and is one of the founding Ninjas at Code Ninjas Markham. Throughout his time here, Zidan has always been extremely inquisitive, often asking questions that go beyond the regular curriculum. His game, The Lost Hero, is an exciting 2D action platformer where the goal is to defeat all enemies and reach the boss level. Players can upgrade their character using coins collected throughout each level, adding a layer of strategy to the gameplay.

Brandon enjoyed developing the battle system and creating his unique characters. Throughout his game, he learned to apply static variables and PlayerPrefs to save player data.
